Three persons charred to death as car catches fire in Kurnool

Three persons were killed in a road mishap after a speeding car collided into a sand mound and caught fire in Kurnool district.

The incident took place at Battalur of Allagadda mandal on Sunday night. The family travelling in the car were caught in the flames and three of them succumbed to death. Another person sustained grave injuries and was shifted to a hospital in Nandyal.

The car was heading towards Nandyal from Proddatur. The deceased were identified as Vanithabai and her two sons Prem Kumar and Umesh. Reports suggest that Rajaprasad, who was driving the car, was in an intoxicated condition.
