Anantapur: Lions Club members of Uravakonda distributed free spectacles to 110 persons, who have undergone eye surgery at Akbhar Eye Hospital on Sunday.
Uravakonda CI Gouse was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the services of Lions Club. Gouse said Dr Akhbhar Saheb and Althaf have been conducting free eye camps to help the poor. The Lions Club has been conducting free eye operations to needy for the past seven years, said the CI. Club president GK Sridhar, Zonal chairman Balachandra, district chairman Prabhakar Naidu, Satyanarayana, Nagabhushanam, Ganeshbabu and others participated in the programme.
