Take up expansion works of Kalangi reservoir: Chinta
Former MP Dr Chinta Mohan demanded the government to take up expansion works of the Kalangi reservoir immediately which will provide water facility to 10,000 acres in KVB Puram mandal of the district. He held a dharna along with the farmers, agricultural labourers and Congress leaders at Kalangi reservoir on Monday.

He said the Congress government has constructed a hostel building for SC boys in KVB Puram mandal. He found fault with the TD government for not inaugurating the building till now. Later, he participated in another dharna at Satyavedu demanding employment for the locals in Sri City.
Though Sri City management promised to provide employment for every family, who gave their lands for the SEZ, they did not fulfil their promise, he alleged. Congress leaders Kannaiah Naidu, Subbaiah, Dr Seshadri, Mani Naidu and Dhananjayulu took part in protest.
