Anantapur: A one–day seminar on ‘Women in Micro/Small Enterprises’ organised here at JNTUA Engineering College on Tuesday. In-charge Vice-Chancellor Professor K Rajagopal, Rector Professor D Subba Rao were the chief guests.

Industrialists Jyothi, Aparna and Vasundhara were the honourary guests. While addressing the seminar, Rajagopal explained the importance of women and their greatness in current society. He said women can achieve anything. The In-charge Vice-Chancellor shared successful women stories.

He advised the girl students to launch startups, in turn strive for the country progress. He argued the members to encourage the meritorious girl students and women. Speaking on the occasion, Women Cell Coordinator Professor G Prashanthi advised the students to make plans to sustain themselves. She stressed that hard work is the only means to achieve heights in life.

Prashanthi said the government is extending all possible help and issuing license within 21 days to start any startup. Students can avail the facility, she said. District Industries General Manager G Sudharshan Babu, Sudheer, teaching, non-teaching staff and students in large numbers participated in the programme, said PRO M Anka Rao.
