The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the two regions of the State were: Sompeta (Srikakulam), Nagari (Chittoor) 3 each, Araku Valley, Paderu (both in Vishakhapatnam), Srikalahasti, Thottambedu (both in Chittoor) 2 each, Palasa, Pakala, Satyavedu, Tirumala, Puttur and Arogyavaram one cm each.
According to the bulletin, a low pressure area has formed over the north-west Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the Bay and its adjoining areas of Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal. It said the associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level. The east-west shear zone runs roughly above the mean sea level and has become less marked.
