He said loans of Rs 2,924.86 crore have been sanctioned up to June this year against the target of Rs 11,932.23 crore.

Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju directed the bankers to complete their targets on time. He addressed the bankers at the District Level Bankers’ Committee at Golden Jubilee hall here on Tuesday. He said loans of Rs 2,924.86 crore have been sanctioned up to June this year against the target of Rs 11,932.23 crore.

He directed the officials of MEPMA and DRDA to provide loans to women groups and also shoulder responsibility for repayment of loans by supporting the banking staff. The Collector asked to issue Loan Eligibility Cards (LEC) and Certificate of Cultivation (CoC) to the tenant farmers and said so far loans worth Rs 1.34 crore have been provided to 266 LEC holders which was not satisfactory.

He also expressed dissatisfaction over sanctioning of loans under the MUDRA scheme. Joint Collector-2 V Venkata Subba Reddy, LDM Venkata Rao, and other senior officials of various banks were present.
