Nellore: City V-town police nabbed a burglar, who involved in house-breaking in Nellore and Gudur sub-divisions and recovered 22 sovereigns of gold ornaments including gold chains, rings and silver ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh form him. The accused was identified as M Sunil (23).

Interacting with the media, OSD P Vithaleswar said that Sunil, who hails from Venkateswarapuram in Nellore city, had involved in many house-breaking crimes. Sunil is a habitual offender and a suspect sheet has been registered in V-Town police station against him, the OSD said. He stated that the accused select the locked houses and commit offences during night time.

Three cases were registered in V-Town police station limits and two cases in Gudur I-Town police station against Sunil, he added. Police had kept a vigil on movements of Sunil and finally nabbed the accused on the National Highway 16 on Tuesday night. City in-charge DSP M Balasundaram, Circle Inspector Manga Rao, Sub-Inspectors Vijay, Kondaiah and other police personnel were present.
