139 years of Thanti Periyar
The All India OBC and MOBC Employees Welfare Association celebrated the 139th birthday celebrations of EV Rama Swamy popularly known as Thanti Periyar in base complex, Rajamahendravaram on Thursday.

Participating in the programme, ONGC Rajamahendravaram Asset executive director DMR Sekhar has said that education is the vital weapon to emancipate all deprived sections in the society, irrespective of caste, creed and religion and regions. ONGC is functioning by the policies of Government of India which was influenced by the philosophies of Dr BR Ambedkar, Thanti Periyar.
In this connection a cheque for Rs 1.86 lakh was given to government girls hostel students. Representatives of AIOBC Employees Welfare Association, All India SC/ST Employees Welfare Association and Petroleum Employees Union and Association of Scientific and Technical Officers participated.
