Visakhapatnam: Eisai Pharmaceuticals India Private Limited organised an awareness programme to mark the Alzheimer’s Day on the Beach Road here on Thursday.

Doctors who were present in the awareness programme, including district medical and health officer R Ramesh, superintendent of KGH G Arjuna, professors from KGH Gopi, Satish, Aruna and Jagadish Prasad. Speaking on the occasion, doctors explained the symptoms of dementia (memory loss), which is one of the fastest growing diseases in the world, and provided tips to prevent dementia.

Eisai Pharmaceuticals India Private Limited is a Japan-based pharmaceutical company and working with the human health care mission.

As a part of the mission and in collaboration with KGH, they are running a memory clinic in super specialty block at KGH, where free diagnosis is done for dementia (memory loss Vice-President (Research and Development) Girish Dixit and Vice- President Ram Kumar from Eisai India participated in the awareness programme and shared the information about dealing with the disease.
