Guntur: In the fake visa case which led to two suicides and arrest of nine students in New Delhi ,the Guntur Police have identified the educational agency, Gagandeep consultancy, as the main culprit and it was operating from Mumbai not in Hyderabad, as mentioned earlier.

Several students and their parents from faraway places like Srikakulam and Nellore approached the Guntur Police and sought their help to prove that they were innocent. They said that they paid huge amounts of money to the deceased, Inturi Sirisha. But a few of the aspirants defended the dead woman by saying she refunded the money with Rs.2 as interest. The Guntur police have collected 22 passports along with her suicide note.

The deceased, Sirisha, in her suicide note, accused her close relative Inturi Srinivasa Rao, a loans shark who forced them to pay Rs.60 lakh against the borrowed money of Rs.30 lakh. His harassment was the main reason for driving her to suicide, she added in her note. The Guntur police took Inturi Srinivas Rao into custody.

Police traced the main accused in this case one Kishore who is in Italy now, he is another close relative of late Sirisha who cheated her. In an interesting turn of events, police arrested one Sainidhi Mahesh, who allured 30 gullible students and collected Rs.5 lakh each from them.

However, Mahesh maintained that he was innocent and paid the collected money to Sirisha only. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivas expressed the hope that Mahesh’s interrogation would throw more light on the case and expose the real culprits.
