Tirumala: TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) Ake Ravikrishna has inspected the functioning of the central command centre here on Saturday and urged the security personnel to be on alert to avert mishaps and untoward incidents during the Brahmotsavams.

The CVSO said more than 140 CCTVs are installed around Srivari temple and in four Mada streets from the total of 640 fixed in Tirumala. “We are geared to protect the devotees who come in lakhs for the celestial event,” he said. For safety of children, nearly 2 lakh child tags have been kept ready and will be distributed to children at railway stations, bus stands and other venues.

He said the CCTVs will function round-the-clock with a dedicated and trained team of 30-40 will monitor the movements of suspicious people and make sure no one causes any hindrances to vahana sevas and cultural activities of Brahmotsavams. Additional CVSO Ravindra Reddy and other officials took part.
