AP Secretariat staff stage protests over inefficient bus services

Andhra Pradesh Secretariat staff on Monday staged protests against the inefficient bus services to the workplace in Velagapudi.

Stating that the bus services from Guntur to Velagapudi was supposed to be non-stop route, the protestors mentioned that the RTC staff are halting the bus at every stop enroute leading to delay in their arrival at the Secretariat.

The staff further stated that their attendance is getting impacted with the bio-metric attendance system in place. With the matter already reported to the RTC's regional manager and orders being initiated that there won't be any midway halts, the RTC staff, however, is learnt to not be following these orders.

Hence the Secretariat staff are refraining from work in protest until their demands are met.
