Man strangles wife to death in Vijayawada

A husband strangulated his wife to death in Vijayawada on Sunday night suspecting infidelity.

The incident occurred in the late hours of Sunday when the couple residing in Rajiv Nagar indulged in an argument and the husband, in a fit of rage strangulated his wife.

Hearing the screams, the neighbours rushed to their house but found her dead and took him to the police. It is learnt that the husband had been suspecting her fidelity and hence killed her.

The victim's parents alleged that the accused had been harassing their daughter for the past few years. They have lodged a complaint and the police have registered a case in this regard.
