He inspected the weir at Katragada and barrage spots at Neradi in Bhamini mandal along with party leaders. Speaking on the occasion Dharamana Prasada Rao said that YSR laid foundation stone courageously though the dispute with Odisha on Vamsadhara water was pending. Now the Supreme Court appointed tribunal and cleared all disputes including barrage submergence area in Odisha, Dharmana explained.

He demanded the State government to complete the project on as early as possible and fulfil dreams of district farmers. All efforts which were made by then Congress government are foundation for the present government in the State to win the case before tribunal, Dharmana remembered. He demanded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to hold talks with Odisha government as early as possible and complete the project on quick pace.

With the completion of Vamsadhara, a total of 2.5 lakh acres would get irrigation facility across the district which is 40 per cent of total cultivated land in the district, Dharmana elaborated.

With a vision, YSR initiated Jalayagnam to complete 46 projects across the undivided state to irrigate lands and for improvement of financial status of farmers, remembered YSRCP high power committee member and former minister Tammineni Sitaram.

YSRCP district president, Reddy Shanthi, Palakonda MLA, V Kalavathi, party leaders S Appala Raju and M Srikanth participated.
