Youth celebrate Happy Sunday at Punnami ghat
Municipal Commissioner J Nivas said Happy Sunday programme conducted by VMC has been extended to other areas of the city due to huge response evoked from the denizens particularly the youth.
Municipal Commissioner J Nivas said Happy Sunday programme conducted by VMC has been extended to other areas of the city due to huge response evoked from the denizens particularly the youth.
The Commissioner along with other VMC officials participated in the Happy Sunday organised at Punnami ghat. Hundreds of youngsters joyfully participated in the event.
Youngsters played volleyball, shuttle, Kabaddi and other games. Children exhibited Kuchipudi and western dancing skills on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, the commissioner has congratulated the parents to mark the Daughters Day.
He said he has a daughter and developed bond with his daughter. He said there is a special relationship emerges between the father and daughter and parents take special care of their daughters till their marriage.
He said parents who have daughters are gifted parents and he congratulated them for having a daughter on the occasion of Daughters Day. Local corporators Shaik Habeebulla and Y Ramaiah and VMC officials, representatives of NGOs participated in the Happy Sunday at Punnami ghat.
