Centre approves release of funds for Polavaram project

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday met with Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping, and Water Resources Nitin Gadkari in Delhi.
The meeting lasted for more than an hour where Chandrababu held discussions regarding several issues including National Highways, Polavaram development, interlinking of rivers etc.
Following the meet, the Centre has given its approval to sanction the pending funds of Rs 2800 crore towards the Polavaram project in Andhra Pradesh.
The Centre has forwarded the approval to NABARD, to release the funds.
