Demand at Praja Darbar to suspend Adoni MRO
Following grave charges of corruption levelled against Adoni MRO Srinivasa Rao, there were demands for his suspension at the ‘Praja Darbar’ programme organised in the revenue division here on Monday.

While slogans to press the demand were raised by some representatives of people’s organisations, a woman farmer, Dastagiramma, complained to Joint Collector Venkata Prasanna Kumar accusing the MRO of sanctioning her land rights to another person. She attempted to commit suicide holding a pesticide bottle.

However, the police foiled her attempt. Dastagiramma grumbled that her complaints against the MRO during the last seven years have been ignored by officials.
Recently, the MRO was accused of resorting to corrupt practice of allotting 39.51 acres of Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple in survey number 14/1 at Hanavallu village to others.
President of Mundadugu organisation Desai Chandranna had accused him of sanctioning pattas in revenue land. The MRO allegedly purchased a house recently in NGOs Colony. There were also reports that he bribed a woman Minister to escape suspension.
