The Chief Minister met Road Transport, Highways, and Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday where he explained the progress of the Polavaram project and sought the release of the funds which were pending.
While the Union Minister assured Chandrababu regarding the release of the pending funds within a week’s time, he also informed him about his visit to Andhra Pradesh on October 3 for laying the foundation to Muktyala and Vijayawada waterway.
Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will also be seen in attendance at the ceremony.
Nitin Gadkari will also inspect Polavaram works on the same day.
