Traffic curbs in city today
The city police are implementing traffic restrictions from Wednesday early morning to mid night keeping in view of heavy rush expected at Durga temple to mark Moola Nakshatram. Nearly two lakh devotees are expected to visit Indrakeeladri on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: The city police are implementing traffic restrictions from Wednesday early morning to mid night keeping in view of heavy rush expected at Durga temple to mark Moola Nakshatram. Nearly two lakh devotees are expected to visit Indrakeeladri on Wednesday.
Vehicles from Undavalli of Guntur district towards the Prakasam Barrage will not be allowed as part of the restrictions. Similarly, vehicles will not be allowed from Control Room towards flyover and Durga temple. Those who have vehicle can pass via flyover.
Vehicles from RTC bus stand towards Rajiv Gandhi Park and Durga temple will not be allowed till midnight. Vehicles passing from Kummaripalem towards Durga temple ghat road will also be restricted. The city traffic police requested the denizens to cooperate with the police and follow the traffic rules for smooth conduct of Dasara celebrations.
