In a major setback to YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the special CBI court in Hyderabad refused to grant an exemption to him from making an appearance in the pending illegal assets cases against him.

YS Jagan who is scheduled to undertake the Padayatra from November 2 has to appear in Court on Fridays. Now, keeping in the new changes, the Padayatra has now been postponed to November 6.

YS Jagan’s plea seeking exemption from attending the Court citing political grounds including the Padayatra was dismissed by the Court with a single judge dismissing the plea on observations that the petitioner suddenly brought up the cause of Padayatra.

The Padayatra that is going to be spread across 3,000 km in Andhra Pradesh will continue for six months beginning on November 6th.
