Three youngsters have been arrested on Tuesday for sexually assaulting a 19-year-old college girl in Prakasam district.

The accused, Sai who is a BSc agriculture student was in a relationship with the victim. But upon realizing his intentions to sexually exploit her, the girl broke up with him. Sai, along with his friends decided to take revenge on the girl by making her video and blackmail her.
Sai called the girl to a place on the outskirts of Kanigiri town stating that he wanted to talk about their relationship. The girl accompanied by her friend and the three boys ventured into fields.
Following this, the girl was sexually assaulted and his friends shot the video with the mobile camera. Despite her friend's attempts, she was not able to help.
The incident had taken place on August 29 but when the accused shared it on Facebook and Whatsapp on Tuesday, it came to light.
The police have asked the victim's parents to lodge a complaint and a case has been registered in this regard.
