Amaravati: Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar directed officials to implement biometric attendance system in offices of Heads of the Departments and all offices in district headquarters from October.

Addressing a review meeting at Secretariat on Wednesday, Dinesh Kumar said biometric system is already in force in some HOD offices and the system has to be implemented in the remaining offices too from October.

Should be introduced in govt offices in all district headquarters by the end of next month

He also said all government offices in district headquarters have to be brought under the biometric system by end of October. In the final stage, the system would be introduced in mandal level offices, the Chief Secretary said.

He told secretaries of various departments in the Secretariat that they must ensure the strict implementation of biometric in their respective departments and send reports on monthly basis to general administration department. Assistant secretaries and section officers could be given training on implementation of biometric system, he said.

Coming to implementation of e-office, the Chief Secretary said e-filing system must be implemented from district level
to Secretariat and circulars in this regard would be send to District Collectors soon through the General Administration
Department.

Dinesh Kumar reviewed the implementation of biometric system in revenue, education, excise, general administration and some other departments.
