  • CM to visit architect’s office in London on Oct 24-25
  • Prior to it, Rajamouli to meet architects on Oct 11-13

Prior to that, film director SS Rajamouli will visit the Fosters & Partners office on October 11, 12 and 13 along with a delegation of the AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) to participate in a workshop on capital city designs. The schedule was confirmed in a review meeting the Chief Minister had with the officials concerned at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

As the Fosters & Partners failed to impress Naidu on the final designs of iconic government complex, High Court, Assembly and other offices, the Chief Minister had decided a few days ago to seek the help of Rajamouli, who directed the blockbuster movie Baahubali. The work of Rajamouli in creating the ancient kingdom of Mahishmathi in Baahubali had reportedly impressed the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister suggested to the Fosters & Partners to take inputs from Rajamouli. Following this, the film director had met the Chief Minister a week ago.

CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar told the Chief Minister in the review meeting that Rajamouli had expressed his willingness to come to London and make suggestions to the British architect firm on final designs of iconic designs.

Meanwhile, Naidu advised the Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) officials to keep in mind that they were working on building one of the world’s top cities but not an ordinary one. “Take advice from brilliant people. Involve them in the capital construction process,” he said.

The Chief Minister has asked the officials to speed up the construction of the proposed projects. He also suggested to them to prepare an action plan to attract the best educational institutions and hotels to Amaravati.
