Nannapaneni assures relief to molested victim

Kanigiri: The Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson NannapaneniRajakumari consoled the molested victim in Kanigiri on Tuesday.

Kanigiri MLA KadiriBaburao and SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu accompanied her along with the commission members Ramadevi and Aruna. The Chairperson and SP learnt about the details of the incident from the girl and her family members. The girl’s mother expressed threat from the families of three accused youth.

She complained to the SP that one of the accused Sai and his father attacked her when they questioned about the molestation and forced them to keep their mouth shut. The mother said that it is only after the video went viral on social media, they came forward to complain against the youth.

Rajakumari said, “It is a very unfortunate incident and a sign that we are losing humanity. I will take the issue to the notice of the Chief Minister and request him to provide a relief to victim’s family. The local MLA and SP will support her if she wants to continue education or wants to do a job. We will see that the case will be heard fast and the culprits will be severely punished.”
