People disappointed with BJP and TDP Governments: Yechuri

Vijayawada : CPI (M) National General Secretary Seetharam Yechuri alleged that people were highly disappointed with the performance of BJP Government at the Centre and TDP Govt in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Yechuri said that TDP was losing its image among the people due to its alliance with the BJP at the Cetnre. He said people have lost faith on TDP Government in just three years. He said there was no progress in the works for construction of new capital city Amaravathi or the Polavaram project. He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has failed to fulfill the electoral promises and still misleading the people by making other false promises.

Yechuri said that the country's economy was badly hit due to the demonitisation. He described Narender Modi as a failed Prime Minister. He said wrong policies of Modi Government were pushing India towards a major economic disaster. While loans of nearly Rs. 2 lakh crore were waived off for big corporates, poor farmers were left to their fate, he said adding that the BJP Govt has failed to resolve the problem of unemployment.

However, the CPM leader said that the Prime Minister's event managers did a good job compared to Narender Modi.

He announced that a major agitation programme would be held in Delhi in the month of October on farmers’ issues.
