8.74 gram gold chain donated to Padagaya temple
A couple on Thursday donated 8.74-gram gold chain to Goddess Purhutika at Padagaya pilgrimage center at Pithapuram.
Pithapuram: A couple on Thursday donated 8.74-gram gold chain to Goddess Purhutika at Padagaya pilgrimage center at Pithapuram.
A devotee P Nageswara Rao of Kandrakota and his spouse donated the chain to the deity. They handed over it to executive officer Chandaka Dorababu. Later, they performed special pujas to the deity. The executive officer gave them the temple deity’s prasadam.
Online services launched
Earlier, in the morning Pithapuram legislator NVSN Verma’s spouse Lakshmi Devi formally inaugurated the e-token system at the temple. She said that the temple made its services to the devotees online to extend better amenities to the devotees. Hereafter, the services can be booked from anywhere through the online portal.
Further, the temple administration has been computerized. Donations to Goseva, Annadanam, Pournami Chandi Homam and Santi Kalyanam can be made online, she added. Chandaka Dorababu, temple trust chairman Kondepudi Surya Prakasa Rao and others took part in the inaugural function.
