Visakhapatnam: The second day of Andhra Pradesh Tourism's week-long Dusserawali celebrations failed to attract audience for its various cultural performances.

Even worse is, none of the MLAs from constituencies in the city attended the much-hyped event on Thursday. The event planners expectations went completely wrong as the presence of tourists is invisible during the cultural programmes.
Sources are saying expect the district officials, not many citizens are taking interest to watch the cultural shows.

Moreover, on Thursday rain played a spoilsport just like on Wednesday, causing inconvenience to the performers and organisers. While tribals from Araku performed Dhimsa folk dance and other artistes displayed their talents in Kuchipudi and rock music. The local public is even drawing parallels between last year's Visakha Utsav which was a flop show and this year's Dusserawali celebrations.

Speaking to The Hans India, some of the tourists said that they were no information centres set up to make them aware of the events. The locals said though the venue was selected wisely by the organisers, arrangements were not up to the mark.
