Godavari dance festival enthrals all

Rajamahendravaram: Thousands of people from various walks of life thronged Kotilingala Ghat to witness Godavari Dance and Lantern festival on second day on Thursday.

The performances by Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Kadhak dance maestros enthralled the audience.Kuchipudi dance performances by veteran dancers such as Yamini Reddy, Bhavana Reddy, daughters of Radha and Raja Reddy, Manipuri and Kadhak dance performances impressed the audience.

Yakshagana a combine form of dance, music, dialogue and costume enthralled the audience. Meanwhile, Mallakamba, a traditional Indian sport, Lavani, a traditional dance of Maharashtra, Bhangra and Garba, the energetic and colourful dances, made an eye fest to the audience.

Siddardha Mahadevan music concert also thrilled the audience. Finally, the festival concluded with bursting of crackers and release of lanterns into the sky.
