Tirumala: Wearing five varieties of weapons, Lord Malayappa Swamy as Panchayudhamurthy blessed devotees in four Mada streets of Tirumala on the seventh day morning on Friday on the bright and shining Suryaprabha Vahanam.

Significance: In our Vedic Sampradayam, Arunam means the most powerful mantras of the Vedas about Surya Bhagwan. Arunam primarily describes the various forms of Surya Bhagwan and many ways he blesses his devotees.

Arunam is selection of mantras from Krishna Yajur Vedam. The mantras of Arunam, Souram and Tricha show Surya as Chief God. However, it is the Lord Srimannarayana who is the inner soul Supreme Being, who is the master of all deities. Hence Lord Surya is referred to as Srimannarayana.

Sri Vishnu Panchayudha Sthothram is a set of glorious verses praising the five fierce weapons of Lord Vishnu, such as wheel/Sudharshana Chakra, conch/Panchajanya, mace/Kaumodhaki, sword/Nandakam and bow/ Sharngam. Whoever recites the holy verses praising the Panchayudham of Lord Vishnu would be relieved from all fears, sins, grief and sorrows.
Lord Malayappa Swamy as Panchayudhamurthy shined brightly on the glittering Suryaprabha Vahanam wearing a huge garland made of Red Ixora and blessed the devotees.

Lord glows under the moonlight on Chandraprabha: The beauty and charisma of Lord Malayappa enhanced on Chandra Prabha Vahanam on Friday evening under the moonlight.

On the 7th day evening as part of the annual Brahmotsavams, Lord Venkateswara took celestial ride on Chandraprabha Vahanam to the delight of thousands of devotees who converged in the galleries of the four Mada streets at Tirumala to witness the blissful event.

According to legend, Chandra or the moon stands for promoting medicinal values among living beings including plants. The puranic scripts of “Purushottam Praptiyagam” describes Chandra as Lord Vishnu and as an invisible architect who had evolved solutions for all ills of the society. The Saint exponent Geeta Charya says “Nakshatrana Aham Shashi” (I am a spot on the moon) indicating the presence of moon as an integral part of the celestial system.

It was a delightful sight to watch Lord Malayappa Swamy glide along four Mada streets on the pleasant Chandraprabha Vahanam which has given a chill-thrill experience to devotees.
