Visakhapatnam: With the illumination of decorative lighting in different hues, the city wore a festive look to celebrate Dasara on Saturday. Marking the end of Navaratri, celebrations are being organised with religious fervour at the temples in the city.Durga Bari temple at railway Station, Kali Matha temple on the RK Beach Road witnessed a huge rush of devotees. The priests performed special pujas to Goddesses.

In the city, devotees are thronging the temples to witness the different manifestations of Godesses Durga, Kanaka Maha Lakshmi, Adi Shakti and Kanyaka Parameshwari, who are specially decorated with flowers and jewellery.

The priests of Kanaka Mahalakshmi temple at the Old Town, Kanyaka Parameshwari temple at Kurupam Market, Adi Shakti Naga Devi temple at Woodyard Street performed special pujas to the presiding deities. The temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the devotees to have darshan of the Goddesses. During the festive season, even the railway station and the RTC Bus Complex are teeming with the people.
