A court employee was brutally murdered at Tikkavarappadu forest area in Venkatachalam mandal on Friday. He was found with hands tied and the neck was slit with sharp weapons. The body was partially burnt.

Nellore: A court employee was brutally murdered at Tikkavarappadu forest area in Venkatachalam mandal on Friday. He was found with hands tied and the neck was slit with sharp weapons. The body was partially burnt.

Police identified him as Surayapalem Madhusudan (37), who was working as junior assistant in Nellore district court. The local people of Tikkavarappadu found the body in a partially burnt condition in the forest area and informed the police.
Police rushed to the spot and initially failed to identify the person. There were signs that the court employee was killed somewhere else and dropped in the forest area. Finally, wife of the deceased, Vijitha, identified him.

Rural DSP Raghava Reddy, Circle Inspector Srinivasulu Reddy, Venkatachalam SI Jaganmohan Rao and others rushed to the spot and deployed dog squad, finger prints and clues teams for investigation. The body has been shifted to Government General Hospital, Nellore for post-mortem. According to police, Madhusudan went to a movie on Thursday along with his wife Vijitha and two daughters.

Surendra, who works as process server in the district court, reportedly called him and invited him to go outside. But, Madhusudan had refused since he was with his family members and enjoying the movie. Then, Surendra mounted pressure on him and Madhusudan went along with him after 9 pm by car which was recorded in CCTV located at the S2 cinema theatre.

After he left the theatre, his mobile phone was found to be not working. District and Sessions Judge Junaid Ahmed along with other judges, judicial employees’ union members and others visited the GGH in Nellore. He interacted with the police over the incident and investigation process.
