Andhra Pradesh Minister for Panchayath Raj, Rural Development and Information Technology (IT), Nara Lokesh participated in the Swachhta Hi Seva Program in Vijayawada on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he recollected the words of Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi - villages are the spine of the Nation which reflects the development.
Stating that the AP government has implemented development activities such as drinking water supply, underground drainage system, and street lights in villages in the state despite deficit budget situation post bifurcation.
The Minister further said that the state government is taking all the measures to make every family in the villages to have a minimum monthly income of Rs 10,000.
