Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Raja Kumari has said that steps will be taken to bring TV serials under the purview of Censor Board, which is not having control on the serials at present. Speaking to reporters at Roads and Buildings guest house here on Friday, Raja Kumari said due to lack of control on TV serials, their impact on society is enormous, mainly on women and children.

The Commission will submit a note in this regard to President of India, Prime Minister and Vice-President and explain them about the bad impact on the society. There is an increase of women patients in government hospitals as the government provided many facilities to them and the number of institutional deliveries also increased, she said.

Raja kumari said the Commission found allotment of one bed for two pregnant women in some hospitals due to lack of beds. The Commission will take the issue to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu along with all details, she said. She said effective implementation of laws was need of hour at work places to prevent women harassment.
