Groom vanishes just before wedding
A man who is said to be in love with a woman for the last six years, disappeared just before his marriage to her. The incident took place at Dalaivalasa village of Garugubilli mandal in the district.

According to Garugubilli police sub- inspector K Haribabu, one B Sankara Rao of Dalaivalasa had been in love with I Uma of the same village for the past few years. When the parents of the bride consulted the parents of the groom to perform marriage to them, the latter sought some more time.
Finally, both sides fixed October 5 as wedding date and even invited their relatives and made all arrangements. While the muhoorath of the wedding was 11.30 pm, the bridegroom Sankar and his family suddenly disappeared from the village. The family and relatives of the bride were shocked and felt humiliated by this disappearance. They lodged a complaint on Friday with Garugubilli police.
According to sources, the parents of the bride had actually planned their son’s marriage next year but reluctantly agreed to October 5 date under pressure from bride’s family. Police registered a case and are searching for the groom’s family.
