Military Madhavaram to be developed as model village
Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao said that Defence Minister Nirmala Seetaraman will visit Military Madhavaram village in Tadepalliugdem mandal soon to inaugurate the development works taken up by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Union government undertaking.

Bharat Dynamics Limited Executive Director N Krishnamraju met Endowments Minister at Tadepalligudem and discussed the development of the village. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that an action plan is being formulated to make the Military Madhavaram, which contributed soldiers from each house, and will be developed it as a model village.
He said the Bharat Dynamics Limited has come forward to develop the village as part of corporate social responsibility programme. The Minister said that the date for Nirmala Sitharaman’s visit to Tadepalliugdem will be announced soon.
“We are planning to start the first phase works at Madhavaram village in Tadepalligudem mandal and the Defence Minister will inaugurate those works. The first phase of works will be taken up with Rs 6 crore,” he added.
BDL Executive Director N Krishnamraju said that Military Madhavaram would be developed as model village as it contributed to the nation in the form of Army personnel from each house.
“BDL has adopted this village. We have already conducted a survey of households. Taking into consideration the needs of people and village development, the BDL come forward to adopt it. In first phase, three works have been taken up and they will be inaugurated by Nirmala Sitharaman and we are inviting her to the programme,” he added.
