Tirumala: A new system of electronic dip for premier Arjitha Seva tickets has been designed in a transparent manner, according to TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal. The monthly ‘Dial your EO’ programme was held at Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Friday.
Answering pilgrim callers, Kiran Kumar from Tirupati, Bhaskar from Visakhapatnam and Prabhakar from Nandigama, Singhal said that the pilgrims can enroll online for Arjitha Seva tickets right from three months to one week in advance.
An electronic dip will be taken out and the pilgrims selected for Arjitha Sevas would receive communication on when to collect the tickets. This would enable even the pilgrims who do not have proper internet band width in their home turfs also to secure tickets.
Srinivasa Rao from Visakhapatnam, Deepak from Karnataka, Gnanaprakash from Tirupati and Umashanker from Hyderabad lauded the efforts of TTD to ensure incident free Srivari Brahmotsavams despite heavy turnout of pilgrim crowd for the mega fete especially during the Garuda Seva.
Responding to their compliments the TTD EO said, it was possible with the team work of all officials and employees, co-ordination between vigilance and police and above all the co-operation from pilgrims.
A pilgrim caller Srinivasa Rao from Tenali appealed to the EO to give a chance for students who are trained in rendering Annamaiah Sankeertans an opportunity to perform on Nada Neerajanam platform during morning slots.
Welcoming the suggestion, the EO said they will look into it. Another caller Srinivasa Rao from Vizag sought allotment of rooms online during festive occasions like Brahmotsavams. In his reply to the suggestion, the EO replied that the TTD has not completely cancelled the online accommodation but has reduced the quota during the peak season.
Replying a pilgrim caller Nageswar from Nagpur, the EO said, TTD has brought wide changes in the recent times to provide hassle free darshan to devotees inside sanctum. “However we will give instructions to our employees, volunteers, scouts, security personnel in proper pilgrim crowd management,” he said.
The EO said teams would be sent at regular intervals to shops to monitor prices of eatables when a caller Srinivasa Naidu from Kurnool raised the issue of hiked rates charges at shops at Tirumala.
