Visakhapatnam: Tri-services adventure expedition concluded here on Friday. The four-week long adventure camp was aimed to enhance jointmanship amongst all ranks from the three services of armed forces and inculcate the spirit of physical, mental robustness and self confidence.

Three teams consisting of 18 personnel, including three officers each from Army, Navy and Air Force, participated in the expedition. Commodore KA Bopanna , Commanding Officer, INS Circars, was the chief guest for the closing ceremony.

The naval phase of the adventure camp was coordinated at ENC at the Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre from September 27 and included sailing in various classes of boats such as enterprise, laser and wind surfing. The participants were also given training in Finn swimming, snookering and diving.

The adventure expedition was started with the Army phase at Arunachal Pradesh on September 12 and included 85 kms trekking in six days and cycling for 103 km in three days. The Air Force phase of expedition was conducted at Bagdogra from September 22 and included parasailing, power handling gliding and rappelling.
