Vijayawada: A woman, Harika, is seeking financial assistance from philanthropists to treat her 13-old brother who was undergoing treatment for brain cancer in a corporate hospital in Mumbai.

She said her brother Naga Sai Ronit has been suffering from brain cancer. The doctors in Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai performed a surgery during the last year. Later, he recovered but the brain cancer relapsed in August this year.

The doctors in the same hospital said, they need at USD 1,00,000 to perform another surgery. She said, they have collected Rs 20-lakh from their relatives, close friends. Telangana Chief Minister KCR has given Rs.10-lakh financial assistance from his relief fund because their parents hailed from Hyderabad.

She said, they need another Rs. 34-lakh for treatment. She said, they have decided to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu seeking his help. She urged the philanthropists to extend financial assistance for her brother's brain surgery.
