Freshers’ Day celebrations at GEC
Guntur Engineering College (GEC) diploma second year students organised the Freshers Day celebrations on the college premises here on Saturday.Engineering College principal Dr A Rama Rao was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he advised the students to have good conduct and pursue value based education.

Speaking on the occasion, he advised the students to have good conduct and pursue value based education. He also said diploma students will have bright future. Polytechnic College principal Prof Manohar said their students are excelling in various fields. As many as 18 students got placements last year, he added. Students actively participated in cultural programmes. College director Dr D Raghu, dean Dr K Lalitha, heads of various departments Dr A Mohan Rao, Dr Mahesh, Giri Prasad and Prof Pattabhi Ram and other teaching and non-teaching staff took part in the celebrations.
