Gold ornaments worth `18 lakh recovered; 2 held
The district police arrested two thieves and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 18 lakh and 4 bikes from them. The accused were identified as N Adinarayana of Madhavaram village of Vontimitta mandal, G Ganga Raju of Mukunda Ashram of Vontimitta mandal.Â

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Attada Babujee said the duo have committed several crimes in the State. The SP stated the accused modus operandi is to construct temporary huts on the outskirts of the towns and break into locked houses, and collect valuables. Both were caught by Chinna Chowk Circle Inspector Ramakrishna and SI Hima Kumar while they were moving under suspicious circumstances at Devuni Kadapa on Saturday. The SP declared rewards to the cops for arresting them.
