Student meets watery grave

Srikakulam: A first year Intermediate student drowned in a local rivulet Ramigedda on the city outskirts on Saturday. According to sources, the deceased was identified as Arugula Yuvateja (17) of Peddarelli Veedhi in the city. He was studying Intermediate at the Government Junior College here. He went to the rivulet, along with his three classmates. While jumping into the water from the culvert wall, his head hit the stones under water and slipped into unconscious state due to head injury and died. After noticing it, his friends worried and informed their elders. In turn, they informed police who rushed to the spot along with fire service department officials and fished out the body.
