229 avail medical camp held at Bathalavallam village
A mega free medical camp was held in Bathalavallam village in Varadaiahpalem mandal on Sunday in view of the prevalence of fevers in that area. The District Medical and Health department and District Coordinator of Hospitals Services has organised this camp following the directions issued by District Collector PS Pradyumna.Â
Tirupati: A mega free medical camp was held in Bathalavallam village in Varadaiahpalem mandal on Sunday in view of the prevalence of fevers in that area. The District Medical and Health department and District Coordinator of Hospitals Services has organised this camp following the directions issued by District Collector PS Pradyumna.
In the camp, 229 persons took the advice from doctors. Of them, blood samples of 150 patients were collected and provided medicines to all.
Doctors from IMA, APNA and Seven Hills Hospitals have participated in the health camp.
The medical teams, went around the village to find out the reasons for prevalence of fevers in the area, observed water was stagnated in pits causing mosquito breeding and poor sanitation was another reason. The doctors advised the villagers to keep hygienic conditions in and around their homes. Also, every Friday is to be observed as dry day so that mosquito breeding can be avoided.
DM&HO Dr Aruna Sulochana, who organised the camp, said the MPDO and Special officer were requested to help villagers to dig soak pits. Kalki Trust has extended their services by providing basic amenities for the camp.
Sarpanch Raghu took initiative to make the camp a success. DCHS Dr Saralamma, IMA president Dr Vasudeva Naidu, APNA state president Dr Sree Hari Rao, IMA secretary Dr Ravi Raju, treasurer Dr Yugandhar, Dr Ramachandra Rao of Seven Hills hospital, Dr Vijaya Kumar, Dr Krishnaja, Dr Narasimhulu and DMO Dr Sreenivasa Rao and DEMO Nirmalamma participated in the camp.
