Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa here on Sunday said the TDP government is striving for the development of villages.

Rajappa, along with Rural MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi, laid the foundation stones for Rs 2.28 crore worth works at Madhava Patnam village in Samalkot mandal. Speaking to the media, the Home Minister called upon the participation of people in village development.

He said 27 CC roads, six drainages and a community hall would be constructed soon in the village. Chinarajappa further informed that their government was constructing additional classrooms in village schools. He urged the villagers to maintain cleanliness and not to throw garbage on streets.

Madhava Patnam village sarpanch Pilli Prasad, MPP Godatha Martha Veeranna, MPDO Nageswara Rao, MPTCs and several other village sarpanches participated in the programme.
