Nellore: Former Chief Secretary IVR Krishna Rao made sensational criticism on the State government and construction activities at the capital city Amaravati. Speaking at a seminar organised by ‘Green Soldiers’ here on Sunday, Krishna Rao alleged that the government had taken away fertile lands from the farmers and was constructing buildings in the farm lands.

“Though I had proposed Donakonda for capital city, the government had not shown any interest on it. A team of members from Rayalaseema had also proposed the same place where barren government lands were available,” said Krishna Rao.

He also said that if any natural disaster like floods and others occur about 36,000 acres and capital city would submerge in water. He alleged that the Chief Minister had done land pooling as a ‘real estate business’ in the capital region.
