Kurnool: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthy strongly reacted over the statement of former Union Minister Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy made on Saturday. He said that there is no need to break the bunds of Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS) as efforts are on to fill 106 ponds with the waters of HNSS. “In the first phase, we have planned to fill around 50 ponds and in later stage, the rest would be filled,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to former Union Minister to have patience and assured that he will stand by his commitments made for the constituency. Addressing a media on Sunday at TDP office, Krishnamurthy said that the government was striving to develop the district on all fronts.

Several developmental works have been taken up by investing crores of rupees, he said and added the solar park has been set up by investing Rs 1,000 crore besides industrial corridor at Orvakal and Rs 600 crores Mega Seed Park at Thangadancha that would be laid foundation stone by the Chief Minister on Monday.

An international airport, Urdu University and IIIT are some of the major achievements by the TDP, he reiterated. He also said the government has constructed one lakh houses to poor and had handed over them on Gandhi Jayanthi day.

He further stated the government is committed to the welfare of poor and assured that he will see that no farmer in the district would face injustice till his tenure as Deputy Chief Minister.

He also came down heavily on the opposition party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy and said that it is very unfortunate to have such an opposition leader who is putting hurdles in development works.
