Tirupati: Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy said the State government waived Rs 274 crore crop loan for the benefit of the farmers in the district. The Minister participated as chief guest and handed over loan waiver bonds to beneficiaries at an auditorium in Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Chief Minister N Chandrababu has waived Rs 3,600 crore crop loan of farmers with interest across the state in the third phase.

He stated that the banks will credit the loan amount into the account of farmers within 48 hours once bonds were uploaded by officials concerned. The Minister advised farmers to register their complaints with 1100 if they face difficulties in crediting loan amount into their accounts.

The Chief Minister is setting up food processing industries for farming community in the district, he added. District Collector P S Pradyumna called upon farmers to use the drip irrigation facility for the horticulture crops. MLAs M Suguna and T Aditya, TUDA Chairman Narasimha Yadav and other officials were present.
