MRPS seeks action on 3 tahsildars facing charges
Demanding that the district administration act on three tahsildars working in Vizag district over alleged lapses in discharging their duties, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) district unit submitted a memorandum to Collector Pravin Kumar on Tuesday.

According to MRPS district president Kinthada Rajsekhar, the three tahsildars attached to Vizag district Revenue Department were given promotions as deputy collectors based on their seniority.
However, Bheemili mandal tahsildar Sumathi Bai, Pendurthi mandal tahsildar Sehsa Sailaga and rural mandal tahsildar Bhaskar Reddy, who was earlier tasildar of Anakapalle mandal, were all facing charges of corruption and irregularities, he maintained.
“Sumathi Bai was in cahoots with sand mafia and government land encroachers, Sesha Sailaja had given cooperation for land grabbers as well as MNREGS scheme irregularities and Bhaskar Reddy was facing government land tampering charges,” he alleged. Rajasekhar demanded the authorities to stall the promotions of these three officers till the Special Investigation Team (SIT) gives its report.
