Space Week fete concludes at SV College of Engineering

Kadapa: The space week celebrations at SV College of Engineering concluded here on Monday. Yogi Vemana University Vice-Chancellor Prof A Ramachandra Reddy graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Sriharikota High-Altitude Range (SHAR) conducted a satellite exhibition at the college on the occasion displaying images and screening videos tracing the trajectory of the satellite from the launch pad to the final orbit. The exhibition drew huge crowds to the college.

The satellite models displayed by the SHAR became a highlight of the event. People visiting the exhibition appreciated the efforts of the scientists. The chief guest described SHAR as the pride of the country and appreciated the experiments carried out at the facility.

He wished the rocket launching station achieve many more successes in future. College principal Dr PVN Reddy said that the SHAR made the country popular worldwide.

He called for efforts to remove poverty and illiteracy. College teaching and non-teaching staff, students and others participated in the space week celebrations.
