Guntur: Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has no moral right to demand special status for the State as he lost his credibility, said Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao.

Addressing a media conference here on Tuesday, Pulla Rao said YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy lost his credibility when his MPs failed to resign for the cause of a Special Status for Andhra Pradesh.

He said Jagan was trying to get closer to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a bid to ensure that he gets relieved from the cases pending against him.

Social and Tribal Welfare Minister Nakka Ananda Babu said Jagan going to jail is imminent on the conclusion of the trial in court related to various cases pending against him.

Vinukonda MLA and Guntur district TDP president G V Anjaneyulu, Zilla Parishad chairperson Shaik Johny Moon and other TDP leaders were present.
