Short Circuit in Tirumala temple results in stampede, several injured

An electric short circuit has taken place in the queue line at the entrance of Tirumala temple which left several persons injured on Wednesday morning.

While few devotees suffered electric shock, others who got frightened tried to runaway from the temple resulting in a stampede.

The mishap occurred in the Vaikuntham Queue Complex near the baggage scanning machine at the main entrance and left many devotees injured who were rushed to the hospital. Officials are monitoring the situation.
